The Illinois College of Optometry holds professional accreditation from the Council on Optometric Education of the American Optometric Association which is a member of the Council on Post secondary Accreditation. The College is also accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, from which ICO received the strongest possible endorsement from an accrediting body. The degree program curriculums are approved by the State of Illinois Department of Veteran Affairs, State Approving Agency for payments to veterans and eligible persons under title 38, U.S. Code.
