There’s Black Friday, Cyber Monday and now Giving Tuesday. Founded in 2012, Giving Tuesday is global day aimed at giving back. On Tuesday, Dec. 2, ICO joins thousands of nonprofits, businesses, families and individuals around the world in one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

This year, we are raising awareness about the Alfred and Sarah Rosenbloom Center on Vision and Aging. Established in 2012 by the former ICO president and his wife, the center provides unparalleled care to the aging population and patients with visual impairment. The Illinois Eye Institute is currently undergoing an extensive renovation to make room for this state-of-the-art facility

We asked on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for members of our community to send us photos that delight and inspire using #GiftOfSight and #GivingTuesday. To shed light on the remarkable work being done at the Rosenbloom Center, we’ve transformed these photos to reflect how patients at the center see them. Drag the arrows on the sliders back and forth to compare the view with healthy vision to that with age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma or retinitis pigmentosa.
