Staying Safe at ICO
Chicago is a big city, and as in any big city, it is important to be aware of your surroundings. That being said, our campus is compact and we work hard to keep you safe on campus.

ID swipes needed for entry
To access the building, you are required to pass either through an entryway where a security guard sits or to swipe your ID. This means that only staff, faculty and students can access campus.
24/7 campus surveillance
We have cameras throughout the buildings. Our security team is on site both day and night to handle any issues that may arise.
Shuttle Services after hours
To help students arrive home safely
(especially after a long night of studying) a shuttle runs around ICO's surrounding areas. This is offered free of charge. They are also happy to accompany you to your car.
