The Alumni Association Scholarship is offered to one admissions candidate as well as awarded to four 4th-year students. This scholarship is awarded to the fourth years based on the essay: Describe your service and leadership while at ICO and include how you will continue to lead and serve ICO and the optometric profession as an alumnus.
This scholarship is given to fourth years in part to offset the cost of optometry school. Allowing these new graduates to pursue interests -- whether that be starting their own practice, pursuing a residency, serving at a VA, or pursuing any other career opportunity they are interested in!
