Why ICO?

I was drawn to ICO’s incomparable clinical program both as a student and a resident. It has been a privilege to continue to care for our diverse patient population and their complex ocular health needs while guiding students to become highly competent and compassionate clinicians and doctors.

Biography

Dr. Saiyed is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Dr. Saiyed then earned her Doctorate of Optometry in 2012 at Illinois College of Optometry where she also completed a post-graduate residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease. Thereafter, Dr. Saiyed transitioned into her role as a Clinical Faculty member at ICO where she continues to advise both students and optometry residents in Primary Care and Urgent Care clinics. Dr. Saiyed has concurrently been in private practice throughout her career, including several years in combined optometry-ophthalmology clinics, where she also served as an externship preceptor for 4th year ICO students.
